Spring break!

So here I am... my last night in Telluride, Colorado. Sitting here with Luke playing on the computer and watching Harry Potter on t.v. Oh how I enjoy vacation :)

This whole week was a blur of skiing, hanging out, and not thinking about school too much. The weather for the most part was awesome for skiing: a few days of sun with a few days of light snow in between. With a starting base of 65 inches, I'd say that was awesome. A few fun sightings throughout the week:

1. many, many dogs chasing skiers as they get to the bottom of the mountain with the coaxing of their masters
2. a ski instructor wearing an afro wig as a "ski hat"
3. several major wipeouts on the slopes (i.e. "yard sales")

I've now caught up on my sleep, and I might be able to survive the last part of the semester. In just a few days, I am off to Chicago! Whoa! I'll attempt to be a loyal blogger and update soon after that trip with the judo peeps.

P.S.- Yay for Cam getting into vet school! I never doubted, but it's nice to have solid proof of the acceptance. :)

Camping out in the SCC

So currently I'm in the SCC attempting to study for a zoology test I have tomorrow... but as you can see I'm not being very successful. Spring break is almost here, and I'm having a hard time concentrating.

My shoulder is much better. I went to a specialist who told me that no surgery was necessary, and I basically had to keep my arm in a sling for a few weeks until it felt better. And now it does, and I'm really excited. That means that skiing will be that much easier next week.

Right after my test tomorrow I start right into my studying for a biochem test that I have Wednesday night. Good times. But after that, I'm basically on spring break because I don't have anything due on Thursday, and Friday classes were cancelled because my teachers are oh so nice.

So anyway, I guess that's about it for now. I'm going back to Dallas on Friday midday sometime, so I will probably update after the awesomeness that is skiing. I hope I remember what skiing feels like...
