I'm in big D!

I love coming home. It's my time to relax and not concentrate so much on school or work. Though I'm stressed about an organic chemistry test I have next tuesday, it's not going to ruin my weekend! I get to go to Baylor to see the fightin' Texas Aggie football team beat the hell outta Baylor! I'm going with Matt and Cameron, and apparently we get to sit right next to the band.

Well, not too big of an update, but it's something. I'll attempt to update on the weekend after I get back to C.S. and before the thoughts of tearing up my organic chem. notes comes to mind... :)

Doh!

Ok, so If you were wondering whether the last two posts were over the same weekend, yes they are. Blogger just posted my post that I thought was gone forever. Well, now you get two accounts of what happened. Good deal then. My computer only slightly hates me.

Sorry about the wait

But the last time I tried to update, my computer was being nasty to me. No, it didn't give me the blue screen of death, but I was frustrated nonetheless. So hopefully this time I'll remember to save my post before I try posting it.

So this weekend was awesome: I went home to meet Jeff because he came home for his fall break. We spent all Saturday together. I went over to his house for cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and then a run to Barnes and Noble to hang out and browse. After that we went to a place called "Potbellies" to pick up some lunch. Since Mrs. Lydecker had two passes to the Arboretum, she let Jeff and me use them. So we took our lunch and had a picnic under some beautiful trees on a bench in the Arboretum. We walked around a bit, and wound up on a hill soaking up the sun listening to a very talented guitar player. After that we raced back home, had an hour to shower and change, and then we went to dinner at Amore. I branched out and got the salmon salad- I highly recommend it! Afterwards we went to the Meyerson to listen to one of Beethoven's piano concertos. In short, I had the best saturday ever.

This week has gone pretty well... test on tuesday which I did pretty well on, so I'm happy. I get to spend this Saturday with Matt and Cameron because they're coming down for the Fightin' Texas Aggie football game, so that should be fun.

I guess that's all I have to report for now. I'll try to be better about updates in the future :)

Yes, I know it's been a while...

But updating your blog when you have several tests in a row is not the easiest thing to do. Ok, enough with my excuses. I'm going to fill you in on the happenings of my life.

So first of all, I'm proud to say that I survived midterms! Done. Awesome. Congrats to me. :) The headache that I've been experiencing will soon be gone after tomorrow. After 12:25 PM tomorrow afternoon, I will officially be done with tests until 2 weeks from now! That makes me so happy.

In other news, last weekend (no, not this past weekend, but the weekend before) I was in the Go Shibata tournament at the rec for judo. I got second place in my weight division! I'm pretty excited about that. Even more exciting is the fact that my parents got to come and watch me fight.

Now, this past weekend I went home because a certain special someone came into big D :) Jeff and I spent all day Saturday together. We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, parused around Barnes and Noble, went to this new sandwich place called "Potbellies" and got food for our planned outing to the Arboredum. SO much fun. We had a picnic outside under some trees, and then listened to a really talented guitar player while we soaked in the sun. (and no, I didn't get sunburned) We then got home, got changed, and headed off to Amore for dinner and then to the symphony. Needless to say, I pretty much passed out when I got home.

Well, I wish I could elaborate more, but right now I'm freaking about my test I have tomorrow. As soon as that's over, I can have a life again :) Until then, my friends...

P.S.- Bob and Jackie had their baby!! Sydney Catherine Perez: 19.5 inches, 6.11 lbs. Congrats!

Nellie :)

Ok, so some of you might be thinking, "Well, I know that Emily now has a cat living with her, but I don't know what it looks like." Well, the picture on my blog with the two cats has Nellie in it (the black one), but it's not too up to date. You see, we recently gave my cat a hair cut before she came down to the duplex. The famed "lion cut" that Cameron has been asking my mom to get for my cat was finally done. Here are some pictures to portray my cat's beautiful mane. Caution: my cat might look silly in these pictures, but she's really very cute. :)

And now I am going to eat some lunch and spend some time with my "lioness" :)
